Abseiling is descending backwards over a edge and down steep or vertical rock faces to the bottom. This is a great way to PUSH your nerves and is guaranteed to test the bravest of people.

Level: Beginner – Intermediate ( suitable for most )
Cathedral quarry is situated in an incredible location just next to the beautiful village of Little Langdale. In a disused slate mine, it offers an impressive 60m abseil and a smaller one if your not great with height’s or want to practise before the big one. It’s surrounded by amazing tunnels which are open for us to explore and enjoy.

Anyone! This activity is ideal for Couples, families, stag or hen groups and individuals.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
It takes around 3 – 4 hours to do the abseil but we aren’t in a rush.
WHATS PROVIDED ?
All the equipment that you need such as harness, helmets and abseiling hard wear .
WHAT DO I NEED?
All you need to bring is plenty of clothing that is appropriate to the weather NO JEANS, good strong sturdy footwear like walking boots, plenty of snacks and a head torch . If you don’t have one we can lend you one.
WHEN DOES THE ABSEILING ACTIVITY RUN ?
Abseiling runs throughout the whole year.
